Position Overview
PowerHouse Data Centre Group Inc. is looking for a full-time Thermal Parts Coordinator in Calgary, The ideal candidate would have working knowledge, or a keen interest, in the data centre / IT / facility sector. They will have the chance to learn from an industry-leading team that has a vast wealth of expertise in designing, building, retrofitting, and operating data centres. The Parts Coordinator, along with the rest of the Parts Team, will be responsible for parts ordering, inventory management, and oversee the logisitics of our Vertiv / Liebert Thermal Parts division. PowerHouse Data Centre Group Inc. is a data centre design and build specialty organization, with an experienced and impassioned staff, with years of experience providing detailed assessments, design, infrastructure, assembly, and education to our clients.
Key Job Responsibilities
- Providing exceptional customer service to internal and external stakeholders and ensuring customer satisfaction by addressing inquiries and resolving issues promptly
- Working closely with vendors and suppliers
- Ensuring timely delivery of parts
- Maintaining accurate inventory records
- Optimizing supply chain execution by selecting and utilizing delivery channels and processes that are best suited to achieve sales, in-stock, and efficiency
- Preparing monthly reports on parts and inventory metrics, including turns and sales volumes, order tracking (i.e. pipeline), revenue and margin, etc.
- Maintain and enhance “Parts Playbook” by monitoring and updating processes and policies as required.
Desired Skills and Experience
- Strong communication and customer service skills to effectively liaise with clients, vendors, and team members
- Proven ability to ensure customer satisfaction through prompt response to client needs
- Understanding of HVAC equipment, technology and thermal parts is desirable
- Solid understanding of parts ordering processes and inventory control
- Detail-oriented with excellent organizational and time-management skills
- Proficiency in relevant inventory & procurement software & Microsoft applications is preferred
- Experience in facilities or the data center industry is a key asset
- Forklift license and first aid training is an asset
- Must possess a strong work ethic.
- Well organized with attention to detail, high degree of accuracy and the ability to maintain confidential and sensitive information in a professional manner.
- Must be a self-starter and able to work independently, yet have the ability to work effectively within a dynamic team environment.
